What is OneStory?
- 3 Billion people are without Bibles
- 2700 people groups have no written language
- 2 Billion people in oral cultures are not evangelized
The OneStory Quest program is a two-year adventure in extreme evangelism. The goal of the OneStory quest is to create a Bible Story Set, a set of 25 – 40 Chronological Bible Stories that communicate the heart of the Gospel to those who have never heard the name of Jesus.
OneStory Quest is an opportunity for adventure and achievement. You don’t even need any previous translation experience or linguistic training. You will be part of a small dynamic team that will travel in some of the most remote and rugged places onearth, utilizing up-to-date equipment to create a Bible Story Set for an unreached people group. In approximately two years, you can produce a tool that will present Jesus to those who would otherwise have no opportunity to learn of Him. This Bible Story Set will be a legacy that will remain long after your adventure is complete.
The OneStory Partnership
Youth With A Mission (YWAM) has teamed up with Campus Crusade for Christ International (CCCI), Wycliffe International, and TransWorld Radio (TWR) to form the OneStory partnership, a global partnership using Bible story telling among the unreached.
These four agencies have a common goal and focus in reaching unreached people groups with the gospel, yet each brings a unique set of strengths to the partnership.
These include:
- YWAM – Mobilizes and trains multitudes of nationalities to evangelize, disciple and begin new churches and ministries.
- Wycliffe – Cultural and linguistic research, and application of this research to translating Scripture.
- CCCI – Evangelism, production, and distribution of a range of evangelistic audio and visual media.
- TWR – Global broadcasts & mass media network reaching the world for Christ.
- Pioneers – Seeking to engage unreached people groups together with other Great Commission agencies, churches and individuals.
